Living Forward
Living Forward is Cornerstone's ministry to widows and widowers who have experienced the loss of their spouse. In this new season of life that widowhood brings, our ministry provides warm fellowship & support, plus a shared understanding & comfort in meeting with others on the same journey.
While tears are occasionally shared, we have become a group where sharing & laughter are ever present when we gather! We are a vibrant group that enjoys our twice a month planned gatherings and events that find us either in homes for fellowship dinners, or enjoying outside events and activities.
Together, it is our goal to be 'Living Forward' with hope, one day at a time, by God's grace and strength. If you are a widow or widower, we'd love to have you join us!
Here's a look at what we do together!
SHUFFLE! Our Living Forward 'Shuffle' is a once a month gathering at a local restaurant for a warm time together for food, fellowship and conversation.
It's a great way for us to get to know each other better as we share our lives, as well as enjoy laughter around the table!
Our monthly Living Forward Events are always fun and varied! We've enjoyed a concert in the park on a warm summer night, an Amish buggy ride, gathering in a home for a themed evening or movie night, a tour & picnic at Valley Forge, and a pontoon party in the Poconos.
We also have poignant times of sharing about our lives, our journey in widowhood, and fond memories of our spouses, all the while trusting God for His grace and strength to carry on.
Living Forward friends uphold one another in prayer through our monthly Prayer Request & Praise email, where listed prayer needs and praises are shared for us to bring to the Lord in prayer.
